Essential Guidance on Working, Teamwork and Collaboration in a Virtual Environment 1920 1080 Timewade

Time management, staying productive and keeping in touch with your team were some of the topics discussed in today’s webinar on ‘Working, Teamwork and Collaboration in a Virtual Environment’.

The free-to-attend weekly webinar series hosted by Timewade gives SMEs in the region essential guidance on practical things they can do as they adapt to the ‘new normal’.

This morning’s session was attended by over twenty delegates from various sectors and was led by Vikram Kamerkar of Minerva Lifelong Learning and Roy McFarlane of Total Productivity Solutions.

The session discussed the many challenges we are facing as we balance our time, head space and physical work space and provided key strategies for working efficiently in a virtual environment. Roy and Vikram explained how establishing ‘landmark events’ can make it easier to balance home and work commitments while virtual working.

As well as strategies and resources to achieve productivity, the webinar also discussed the importance of staying in touch with colleagues to support one another through day-to-day work and the emotional strains caused by the Covid-19 crisis.

Vikram Kamerkar, who led the webinar, said: “When working remotely there is more to think about than just the technology needed to stay productive. We are complex and social beings and must consider how we can manage our working day, home environment and time so that we remain on task and connected to our colleagues and friends during this challenging time.”

The series of webinars are delivered in 45 minute sessions every week and are hosted by a range of experts from different fields. Each session provides essential and practical guidance to help business leaders as they navigate the unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in.

Next week’s session – on Friday April 17 – will be hosted by Julian Wills of Timewade on the topic of Technology and IT. Julian will discuss the technology solutions many businesses will now be using for the first time and will discuss the essential security considerations to ensure colleagues and clients are protected.
