It may seem a long way off, however Microsoft will be ending support for Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 in just over a year’s time on 14 January 2020.
This means the end of security updates and patches/fixes and therefore if you decide to continue to use these operating systems after this date, your software will be vulnerable to cyberattacks and you will have an increased risk of security and data breaches.
You need to start preparing and considering your options, don’t let your infrastructure continue unprotected. Give yourself at least 6 months to plan your upgrade.
What are the options?
